MORE THAN A CHURCH

Faithful Living

Good Shepherd Lutheran Church - Virginia, Minnesota

We the congregation of Good Shepherd Free Lutheran Church declare that God the Father is all-powerful and eternal, that His Son, Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, is the Living Word; and by the power of the Holy Spirit, we aspire to live our lives according to the Word of God and to proclaim His truth to a lost and hurting world around us.  We are learning daily to reach out to and love others as Jesus does, and to love them well...we are God's ripple effect in His ocean of truth!  Praise be to God for His divine assignments!

Stained Glass

Matthew 22:36-40

"Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?"  Jesus replied:  "'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.'  This is the first and greatest commandment.  And the second is like it:  'Love your neighbor as yourself.'  All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments."

Good Shepherd Lutheran Church - Building Fund

Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! We are small, Bible based church, in the heart of downtown Virginia, MN and we have a heart to minister to all people, including those who have struggled with things such as addictions and disabilities and reintegrating into society and the church after coming out of prison.

We have a very old building which is in need of many upgrades and repairs, not the least of which is to become handicap accessible. We have very limited resources but try to do what we can as we can. If you are someone who is in a position to help us build up our building fund so that we can accomplish the things our building needs, we would greatly appreciate it. Thank you and God Bless!
